Import from external clouds

A move without manual downloading and uploading again

Extension over the core

What it gives you

Connecting an external cloud runs through signing in on its side: the service returns an authorization link and accepts the response after it. After that you can browse the remote tree and queue an import of the folders you picked. The import is a job with a status, so moving a large archive does not require keeping a tab open.

How it works

  • OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and Yandex Disk are supported
  • The remote tree can be browsed before the import starts
  • Import runs as a job with progress and a clear outcome
  • An imported file immediately becomes an ordinary object with an identity

Limitations

  • Import works only from OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox and Yandex Disk
  • Connecting requires signing in to the external cloud account
  • Imported files take quota space the same way as uploaded ones
