Search by name and content
Find a file when nobody remembers its name
What it gives you
Search covers both names and document content. Results narrow by filters: which product the file came from, its type, its status and its owner. The full text index is filled by the documents layer, while the storage answers for permissions: only what the user may access reaches the results.
How it works
- Full text search across documents, not only across names
- Filters for source, type, status and owner
- Permissions are checked before results are returned, not after
- Search does not depend on which product created the file
Limitations
- Content search works for documents whose text the documents layer has indexed
- Results include only the files the user has access to

Does search look inside documents?
Yes. Search covers names and document content. The text for the full text index is prepared by the documents layer.
How do I narrow the results?
With filters for source, file type, status and owner. The source shows which product the file came from: sales, tickets, telephony or a customer product.
Will an employee see other people’s files in search?
Only with permissions on those files. Permissions are checked before the results are built, not after.
